Inspirada is hosting a “Hello Summer” event on Saturday, May 30th where they will be unveiling new models from the Inspirada Builders as well as the official grand opening of Aventura Park! Aventura Park is the largest park to date in the Inspirada master-plan in Henderson, NV, at approximately 20 acres. The Inspirada Builders (KB Home, Beazer, Pardee, and Toll Brothers) are also unveiling 24 new models during the celebration – of which AndersonBaron designed the Pardee models!
Aventura is the third Inspirada and City of Henderson-owned Park designed by AndersonBaron, with Capriola Park and Potenza Park having opened in September of 2014. Throughout the design process, we wanted to make sure we were offering something different at each park for the residents of Inspirada and the City, giving people a reason to visit each. The theme at Aventura Park is “Exploration and Adventure”, with active play amenities at the playground area, multi-purpose fields, regulation little league fields, basketball, tennis, and grass volleyball courts, heated pool, several ramadas and shaded areas, a splash pad, and a 1-acre dog park.
With so much active play elements at this park, the playground features were themed around exploration with a heavy emphasis on free play, which we define as “spontaneous, creative activity; experiences that are created based on what is provided in one’s immediate environment”. It’s critical to the developmental and sensory needs of children as they’re learning about the world around them. The playground includes climbing boulders and a large “mega tower” structure for climbing and exploring free play. Aventura Park will take the free play theme to another level with the play areas based on elevation.
Aventura Park is located just south of the other two parks recently opened (and designed by AndersonBaron), an easy stroll a half-mile north to the musical theme of Potenza Park or slightly farther to the sensory play elements at Capriola Park.
The Hello Summer celebration is jam-packed with activities at the park, including demonstrations at the Park from UNLV’s football and soccer teams and others, as well as food trucks, refreshments, and plenty of family-fun activities for all ages. Not to mention the splash pad with large waterfall features with cascading water to help you stay cool during the warm May weekend!
