The City of Henderson unveiled its 62nd park on May 30th at Inspirada’s “Hello Summer” event: Aventura Park. This is the third City of Henderson-owned Park within the Inspirada master plan that AndersonBaron has designed, with more currently in development. We’ve been able to work with the Inspirada Builders and the City to continue their goal of having City Parks be a statement of quality of life, with convenient access and varied amenities to all of their residents. Principal Andy Baron is quoted in the Review Journal, discussing our philosophy on designing such highly-programmed parks within such close proximity (click here to read the full article). Aventura Park is very pedestrian-oriented, with the community parks placed front and center. Our focus was on aesthetics, to create a visually beautiful park in such a highly visible area, and safety of users to provide clear routes from one place to another. The layout of this park is visually open, so parents can be in one area of the park and still be able to view their entire family at the other amenity ares.
Aventura Park continues AndersonBaron’s approach to designing unique themes with each of the recent park openings (Capriola and Potenza parks, less than a mile north of Aventura, opened last fall). Capriola is about discovery and curiosity, Potenza is more focused on movement and music theme, and now Aventura is the bigger cousin with a theme of exploration and elevation. Our goal was to provide something different at each park, giving the residents a reason to venture out and try new things.
