The grand opening of Cane Island on March 5th and 6th provided future residents with a first look at the astounding amenity village located at the heart of the community. Attendees had the chance to tour the fourteen showcase model homes, enjoy live music by country performer Cooper Wade, and meet Hub, Cane Island’s four-legged, furry ambassador. The highlight of the weekend though was the reveal of the unique and luxe community amenities which provide ample opportunity for year-round activities. AndersonBaron has been working with the developer, Rise Communities, over the past several years providing landscape architecture services, and we’re very excited at the welcoming and positive feedback from the Houston market on the creative amenities featured at Cane Island. Residents will get to enjoy a workout, swim in the pool, or take a moment for relaxation at the community’s welcome and fitness center. Afterward they can grab a drink or bite to eat at the café and admire the living walls, community gardens, or conservatory that keeps the amenity village in bloom all year. Magnificent oak trees were salvaged from the original property and repurposed as tree houses that give visitors a beautiful view of the lake and trails connecting to the greater community.
