The Irrigation Designer requires an entry level technical understanding of irrigation water use projections and plan drawing. Irrigation Designers work directly under the supervision of the management team including Principals, Senior Project Managers, and the Irrigation Design Manager. The primary role of an Irrigation Designer is to coordinate the production of planning documents for a single project or multiple projects.
Coordinate the production of planning documents with the knowledge of:
Forecasting water consumption projections
Effluent irrigation design and pumping
Turf irrigation techniques
Low water use irrigation design
Irrigation system flow requirements and PSI calculation loss
Local irrigation restrictions and requirements
Must also coordinate the production of planning documents with:
Specialized industry-specific knowledge and intellectual experience
Implementation of current techniques and practices in irrigation design
A minimum of two years of experience in Landscape Architecture or similar design field.
Must possess a thorough understanding of design development, graphic presentations, and construction document preparation.
Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines of multiple projects.
Experience or understanding of graphic design for presentations and layouts.
Possess a high level of professionalism with strong verbal and written communication skills that are demonstrated throughout being highly motivated, positive, and a self-starter.
