AndersonBaron Project Site Tour Day!

Our Arizona office got a special treat this fall with a day out in the field to tour various AndersonBaron projects!  The day began with a (very) large party bus picking us up from the office and off we went to tour 6 different project locations.  This was a great opportunity for Andy, Brett, and some of our other senior staff members to explain to the team how the planning and design process of what we do is translated through…

AndersonBaron and Valley Partnership!

Saturday, November 8th, was Community Project day through the Valley Partnership organization!  Tom and Millie joined the Community Project committee with Valley Partnership earlier this summer and have been working with the other committee members to solicit donations and volunteers to build a new sensory garden for the Arizona Foundation for the Handicapped.   A handful of AndersonBaron team members volunteer their Saturday (and some family members’ Saturday) to plant, run irrigation, spread and distribute granite, refurbish furniture, and paint a…

Lunch & Learn Series: Nursery Tour

Okay, so I know it’s not technically a lunch and learn, but it’s still part of the series! Earlier in September we rolled out our new Lunch & Learn Series initiative as a way to develop our team and offer educational elements to our industry and office. Following the first workshop on Planting Design, we took our team out on a tour of V&P Nurseries on September 26th! Macie and her staff were kind enough to set up a private…

We’re kicking off a Lunch & Learn series at AndersonBaron! These are all internally run by either a Principal, Associate, or Senior Project Manager and the subjects are going to be taken as suggestions from the team. AndersonBaron Accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

AndersonBaron was nominated to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! We happily accepted the challenge and donated $10 for each team member who participated in completing the challenge.  This was something that hit close to home for some of our staff, Principal Brett Anderson in particular who lost a grandmother to this terrible disease.  This challenge is a great way to utilize social media to bring awareness to a disease that many know little about. We encourage everyone to donate…

AndersonBaron turns NINE!

We celebrated our 9th anniversary on June 26th with a Luau themed open house.  Friends, associates, clients, and vendors were invited to stop on by the office, chat with our staff, enjoy the musical styling of a steel drum band and of course get some delicious food from our favorite food trucks!  Aside from the heat, we really couldn’t tell if we were in Chandler or Waikiki 🙂  Everyone got the opportunity to see the new addition to our office…

Hello Dallas!

If you’ve been keeping up with what’s happening at AndersonBaron, you already know that we’ve opened up our Dallas office this year.  As part of our efforts to get our name known in the Dallas market, we’ve created a postcard mailing campaign to introduce ourselves.  Here’s a quick glance at the first postcard that went out earlier this month:   All kidding aside, we hope the pun was well-received!

AndersonBaron Bikes to Work!

If you couldn’t tell from reading all of our bios on our “People” page, we’ve got a lot of avid cyclists in our group.  As Landscape Architects, it makes perfect sense that we love spending time outdoors.  Every so often someone will ride their bike to and from work, or get together after hours to hit up some of the local trails and bike paths around Phoenix.  Jim decided to coordinate a group bike-to-work day! We’re promoting alternate modes of…

Ice Cream Float Day at AndersonBaron!

Before it starts to get REALLY hot here in Arizona our office manager, Cara, organized a “build-your-own ice cream float” party!  Our team enjoyed a fun break in the afternoon to add various soda drinks to delicious vanilla ice cream.  We’re looking forward to making this more of a regular tradition! Below are some of the pictures of the day (yes, Alex is in almost every shot).  Can you find Chris Jones in the group shot??
